GJPS Maximizing Resources

Blue and gold scoreboard labeled Lions and Guest mounted on a gym wall.

To maximize the value of community investments, District administrators have been hard at work repurposing usable equipment and fixtures from the old Gahanna Lincoln High School for use across GJPS.

While a significant amount of furniture and shelving was moved directly into the new high school, many other serviceable items are being redistributed to benefit students in our other buildings. This cost-saving initiative includes relocating gym wall padding to Royal Manor Elementary, reusing gym scoreboards at Middle School West, installing chillers repurposed from the high school at Middle School East and Jefferson Elementary, and reusing weight room equipment for our middle school athletics programs, among many other items.

By strategically reallocating these assets, we are ensuring that quality materials continue to serve our District while remaining responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars.
